Legal aid programs also help thousands of additional people avoid legal problems or keep problems from getting worse by providing information on websites, conducting community educational sessions on legal topics, and training staff from other human service nonprofits on identifying legal issues where assistance is available. All of these services help preserve and protect a client’s livelihood, health and family.
Each year, Michigan legal aid programs help approximately 55,000 families, however, they do not have there sources to represent everyone who qualifies and needs help. The ATJ Campaign will help strengthen access to legal protections for Michigan’s most vulnerable populations.
Your contribution gets us one step closer to “justice for all”.
