A survivor of domestic and sexual violence came to legal aid for help after being denied a Personal Protection Order against her ex-husband based on four incidents of stalking. The client moved to a different county, and after an additional incident of stalking, she filed a request for a new PPO. Her request was again denied due to the court’s exclusion of the previous stalking incidents. Legal aid successfully appealed the denial, and she was granted a PPO.
