An older adult came to legal aid for help after her unemployed adult son filed a lawsuit to remove her from her home. She had previously drafted a quit claim deed to him, with the understanding that she would keep possession of the home until her death. Legal aid represented her and immediately filed counterclaims seeking to quiet title on the grounds of coercion and fraud. The son conveyed the property back to his mother and she now has sole ownership of her home.
