Housing

A cancer survivor contacted legal aid for help regarding a mortgage foreclosure. The family had a substantial income loss while he was undergoing treatments and was unable to keep up with their mortgage payments. Upon completion of treatment, the family was able to resume their small business. Legal aid helped the family file for bankruptcy and negotiate a repayment plan that accounted for their unique financial situation. The family was able to remain in their home.
